Studied piano and composition in Belgium at the Academies of Lokeren and Sint-Niklaas, and in the USA at Dartmouth College.
Winner of JMI's 75 Years Call for Composers (2021), Peter Benoit Prize in composition for orchestra (2021), second prize at the Belvedere Festival in Memphis, Tennessee (2018), winner of the composition competition for cello orchestra at the Cellofestival Dordrecht (2013), one of six nominees for "Ook jouw stem telt" (2011), first prize in the Dexia Classics competition (2009), double finalist in "Op weg naar het nieuwjaarsconcert" by the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble (2007, 2006).
New Conductor Orchestra (2024), selected for the 24th International Choral Festival CRO PATRIA 2020, three works selected in the London Festival of Contemporary Church Music Call for Scores (2020), three works selected for performance at the opening of the Firstsite contemporary art gallery in Colchester, United Kingdom (2011).
